Thayer would rather be investigating the shadowed history of a haunted manor in order to determine the source of its restless phantoms. Or tailing a suspect into a glitzy speakeasy on foggy, rain-drenched streets with nothing but a .45 and his wits. Or perhaps delving into a long forgotten crypt in search of lost eldritch knowledge.
But because most of that isn’t possible in our current reality or time period, you’ll maybe find him hunched over a keyboard or typewriter drafting stories of that nature with the help of his cat and the powers that be. When Thayer isn’t writing, he further contends with his current temporal placement by reading the classics, antique shopping, fencing, collecting vinyl records, and playing viola and guitar.
